Hello, I recently bought theHandy and was interesting it getting it to connect to my PC instead of just my phone. I downloaded Intiface Central, couldn’t get it work, so started looking for advice.
I have downgraded theHandy firmware from 4 to 3, as that apparently helps. This moved it from not showing up in the log at all, to now giving the message “Found protocol ‘thehandy’ for user specifier BluetoothLE(BluetoothLESpecifier ( names: (‘The Handy’), manufacturer_data , advertised_services: (1775244d-6b43-439b-877c-060f2d9bed07), services: {} }).” (I think - it wouldn’t let me copy-paste so I’ve typed that out). However, it’s then followed by “Device errored while trying to connect: Device type specifier error: Btleplug error: NotConnected”, which I believe existing advice is that it’s due to using built-in bluetooth and I should purchase the TP-Link UB400, which was only £10 so I did. However, I’m still getting the same message.
I think it’s coz Intiface is still using the built-in bluetooth, so I turned it off in Windows (10, winver 22H2, FYI) bluetooth settings. but I can see “CSR Bluetooth” in my taskbar icons still. Now, Intiface doesn’t scan at all, the log shows “Start scanning request failed: Error { code: HRESULT(0x800710DF), message: ‘The device is not ready for use.’}” - I feel like Intiface doesn’t know to use the CSR bluetooth instead of the disabled in-built bluetooth, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where in the settings I can configure that, or find any prior help topics on the specific subject.
