Note that BalatroBuzz is still very new and should be considered alpha state. These instructions will be updated as the mod is changed and improved.
To install BalatroBuzz:
- Go to the BalatroBuzz github: GitHub - a-e-m/BalatroBuzz: Buttplug integration mod for Balatro
- Click on the green CODE button. Select Download code as zip. Remember where it is, we will need this later.
- Download Lovely, the mod injector for Balatro. Go to the releases site for Lovely and download the latest release.
- On Windows, releases of Lovely may be detected as a virus. In order to download the file, open Chrome, go to Settings > Security & Privacy > Security and turn Safe Browsing to Off. Download the file, then turn Safe Browsign back to On. If you continue to have issues with Windows detecting the file as a virus, see instructions at Home · Steamodded/smods Wiki · GitHub.
- Unzip the lovely release, which is just a single version.dll file, into your Balatro installation directory. This should be somewhere like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Balatro. - Start Balatro via Steam. You should see an extra console window pop up.
- Close Balatro.
- Find the BalatroBuzz repo zip we downloaded earlier. Unzip this into the Mods directory of your Balatro save directory, which should be at
c:\Users\\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Balatro\Mods. There should already be alovelydirectory there, your BalatroBuzz mod should unzip into a directory next to that. - Start Intiface Central, start the Intiface Central Server, go to the device tab, hit start scanning, make sure your device is found (At this time, only vibrators work with BalatroBuzz).
- Start Balatro, Make sure the console window that pops up says something like “5 patch files loaded”. This means that the mod has been loaded.
- Play Balatro until flames show up around the score. At this point, Intiface Central should show that BalatroBuzz is connected, and your connected vibrating device should vibrate.
