I have a new buttplug, but it only has the “Oscillate” option that only controls the speed of thrusting and vibraition. Most apps don’t seem to use it and only work on vibraition, so it doesn’t work. Is there a way to turn vibraition commands to affect the Oscillate value?
As I understand it, currently no. Oscillator commands are a different thing from vibrator commands.
If the software or app you’re using sends out only vibration commands, there is no way to translate that into oscillations that I’m aware of unless you go in and program that functionality in yourself.
With that said, some software and websites (e.g. Scriptplayer, FunFlixDroid, Faptap) supports a file format (i.e. funscripts) which seems to work with both vibrators and oscillators. It’s not really translating the vibration into oscillations since the funscripts are more of an intermediate file format that the software takes in and uses to control the toy, but it’s the closest I could find for that.
I recommend looking at the Buttplug awesome project list for software and apps that support funscripts if you want more support for your oscillating buttplug.
@JizzyBye you’ve misunderstood a lot here: funscript was created to drive linear positional devices, not oscillating devices (devices that thrust but only have speed control). I’ve not tried the flux player, but neither faptap nor ScriptPlayer support oscillating devices.
@Vermijune_Gamer unfortunately there’s no easy way to make the oscillation feature look like a vibrator - this was deliberate as oscillation was initially the remit of fucking machines which are dangerous if you treat them like vibes (0 to max is going to hurt someone). It might be possible to tweak the config, but you didn’t mention which device you’re using.
